Privacy.com is making changes, if you haven’t gotten an email, login to your account before December 31, 2021.
Due to bank partner requirements, privacy.com is having to make changes in their cards – you need to login and follow directions on the dashboard before December 31, 2021 to continue using the service.
Privacy.com has had to make changes to stay compliant with banking and network requirements. There’s no impact to your account overall, but current cards need to be updated – this means you need to login to your account and follow the on-screen directions before December 31, 2021. After that all existing Privacy Cards will be closed, and you will not be able to use Privacy.com.

“To stay current with changes in card network and bank partner requirements, we’ve spent the better part of 2021 investigating possible product adjustments and determined that changing our cards from prepaid debit cards to charge cards is the best option.
This change keeps us compliant and increases merchant acceptance for you.
The new Privacy Cards will continue to operate exactly like the cards you are used to – no fees, no interest, no selling of your data, and no impact to your credit score.”
