I think that might be so J,L, the changes state that "Support for 64-bit Windows should now be on par with 32-bit Windows".

J.L a change that might interest you since you are using Avast is that
NOW you can scan files inside a sandboxed folder. Before this version
that was not possible with Avast. That was never important to me but
it might be important for you. Just make sure you apply:
Sandboxie Control > Configure menu > Software Compatibility to enable
support for avast! antivirus.

The Brothersoft download link for this has an unsatisfactory WOT rating http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/brothersoft.com.
No probs with the Sandboxie.com download.

SandBoxie asked me automatically and I've done that. Not really sure how it'll benefit though.

Some people like to scan inside sandboxed folders, before this version that
could not be done with Avast but now it can. I never scan inside sboxed
folders and I guess you don't either.
