Microsoft claims Edge is safer hummmm.
99% protection against socially engineered malware.
Does this make it better than MalwareBytes?

Btw, after closing and opening Edge a few times this a.m., it always re-opened on last view instead of homepage (my choice).
Also showed this a.m. history as yesterdays. ha!

Edge is still far from perfect even on latest stable edition!

p.s.
WOT that i had installed on Firefox received a red alert from AVAST (free edition).
Another false flag i guess (but that would be for the dedicated thread on WOT).

Have you set Edge to open with a specific page, in the settings? Never had that problem. And have you set it to clear your browsing history etc. when you close the browser?

Edge is no different to Vivaldi or whatever, in that it's still not the finished product, so no, it's not perfect and, like most other browsers, it will constantly evolve. It's built into the system so the security aspect should be decent, if used along with SmartScreen Filter and Defender, plus it receives regular security patches via the cumulative updates.

Edge was set up right.
It worked as expected up until today (tho i don't use it except for once in a week type situation, to see if i might like it someday).

You know, when i look back... even NetCaptor was better than IE.
Why can't Microsoft hire a decent programmer to make Edge work out of the box?
Not enough money?

Ya know, Microsoft reminds me of Obamacare.
When Obamacare started, it cost millions of $ to get their website goin'(that did not work) when you know that a 2 year old could get a webpage done right.
It's just a bunch of malarkee that Microsoft can not get a decent browser to be the **** out of Google Chrome and the rest.

Microsoft is reportedly replacing Edge with a Chromium-based browser;

Remember NetCaptor?
Too bad Microsoft didn't pick up on that excellent innovation for IE.

Anyway, so... it's going to end up in a final round Firefox vs. Chromium and its clones?
Who will win?
Only one guess allowed.
