I would like to add one more good recording software that missing from this list: Acethinker screen recorder, it is a very fast light weight recording software, high performance and super quality. And it's totally free, no watermark and limitation.
I'm not aware of any software that would allow the functions of a mouse and keyboard to be carried out through voice commands. Someone here may know if anything were available.
I'm not one of those people who can navigate everything via keyboard, though I tend towards keyboard for a lot of things - for example I use the space bar to scroll down web pages instead of the page up key or a mouse. I use Tab to change fields instead of using the mouse.
Highlighting, changing windows, dialog boxes and buttons I use the mouse, unless it's a dialog box with a yes or no option - then I use the arrow keys to highlight the one I want and press enter to select it. I think I'm a mishmash of both. :)
I agree with you on the comments, often they are the most interesting and informative part of the page.

I've often thought that saying the word "control" was faster than pushing one or two keys. While I believe using the keyboard is faster by far than pointing and clicking, I still spend 99% of my time with the mouse in my clutch. The learning curve to actually totally navigate and perform by the keyboard alone is steep. I can't jump columns or to different areas of a page, give up, grab my mouse and finish what I'm trying to do.
Vocal control would be fast with the right s/ware. I use Dragon but I don't consider it a really good solution for "Controlling" s/ware. (for lack of the correct terminology) Is there something besides dictation type apps or has anything been written?
Maybe I should go back to my porn searching and not worry about it?

Same issue , New Comment...Requesting help with Windows 7 and True Key software uninstall problems. Tried the usual ways of removing it multiple times, it keeps coming back up. It has locked me out of my desktop 3 times now, wont take my password when booting up. Then a couple of days later it takes it and I am all good to go. Yes, that is a nice new feature in Win 10. I like that you can pin some items permanently to the clipboard (like this \_(ツ)_/¯ ) which replaces a 3rd party app I previously used. I just "clear all" in the "..." menu to reveal my pinned characters.
@courtenayguy, if you're using Windows 10 with October 2018 Update or newer, pressing Windows key+V shows you the Clipboard content and history, you can then paste from it.
"There's no such thing as a free lunch." Or a "free" VPN service. They all cost money to operate and then someone wants a return on their investment, too. So, they can either sell their service to customers, sell ads, or sell the harvested data about their customers, or any combination of the three. I don't mind paying for a service that I want, especially in this situation.
I've been a TSA (Gizmo's) subscriber since the early 90's and appreciate their work and hope they are richly compensated for it, somehow. I know they started doing some nonintrusive ads a while back and don't mind that one bit. I've always found their software evaluations to be spot-on and unbiased, plus very educational, along with the comments. No affiliation with anything computer, just a grateful fan.
Of possible interest to other Linux users there are a variety of clipboard managers available depending on which desktop environment your particular distro ships with. This one is for the Gnome Shell and the example shown is Zorin 15 Core. Just install the needed extension in Firefox first and then install this and other shell extensions directly from your browser. I think that depends on how you work and your preferences. I like having the characters in tabs where they are sorted by type.
They are larger than the character map on a computer monitor so they are easier to see. I find it easier and faster, but that's me.
I have it bookmarked on my browser toolbar. The only issue I have is that it can't be used offline, while character map is built in.
The clipboard isn't really visible. It's like an invisible holding area. Put your cursor where you want the item you copied to appear, and paste it using either Ctrl - V or right click and paste.
There are clipboard managers that will show everything you've copied so it can be reused. The clipboard is erased if you turn off your device. Copying something new erases whatever is in the clipboard.
I keep a link to the standard Windows character map on my toolbar that allows me to add everything I need in whatever font I choose. Is this any better?

Version 4.29.0.4 stopped working as of today. Same symptoms. Lastpass add-on on FF doesn't render window and stops other extensions and the whole browser from working.
Rolled back to Version 4.28.0.4 using instructions on this post and works like a charm

Just tried it. Cannot believe it was a paid commercial software before. It comes not even close to FreeCommander XE. No multi tab support, no bookmarks.

When using W10, they had to remove all weapons from my house in case I killed myself (way too much crap running in the background)
Thus I use XP 98% of the time.
If there are others using XP, I have good news and bad news -
- Good, The latest version 3 will install into XP\
- Bad, it says it is in evaluation mode for next month.

I've been looking for a free dual pane browser that is similar to xplorer2 ($$) which I've used in the past, and Altap Salamander seems to fit the bill. Great set of features, but I especially like the layout and its extensive set of configuration options.
It doesn't interfere with Windows Explorer, I run them side by side simultaneously with no problems. It doesn't set itself as the default file manager or make any other changes in system settings that I'm aware of.
Thanks for this, I've been looking for a tool that does this. And BTW I had no problem with 3 or 5 GB: I downloaded 10 GB of emails with no problems (except the time it took!).

Surprised that this software is still identified as "Editor's Choice" as it is totally unusable! As I said EIGHT months ago, it now splashes text across the middle of the screen all the way through the video. Totally unacceptable for software that is supposed to be free.
I had forgotten about this and, needing to burn a DVD, I downloaded it again today (version 4.1.10.311). Burnt the DVD and got the same stupid message as before! This is not freeware this is an unusable demo.

New enhanced OCR plugin is amazing fast, provides great quality in recognizing text (and tables). As original (default) OCR is free, the new module is optional and paid. It's worth to have it
PotPlayer now offers bundled ads (Avast/McAfee etc) during installation. The offer is a bit confusing because you can't press decline as the offer is still attached to accepting that you have read the privacy policy. You have to uncheck the box and then press Accept. Better still you can get an alternative ad-free installer that I've updated in the guide. Go to this VideoHelp page and download PotPlayer ad-free (will be one version behind)
Certain things you can do to avoid nasty bundled ads in general are
Turn off internet when installing stuff
Use a simple firewall like Simplewall to restrict/block internet access with a simple click for program installers, softwares or apps on your PC etc.
Use Unchecky to automatically clear off any checkboxes during software installation.

I have used UltraDefrag for a couple of weeks. Defragmentation is quick, but optimization generally takes about 24 hours :( I run Windows 7.
