Browser with results by date

I once read about a browser that one could enter a request for results from last 6 months or year and etc., but can't remember what it is called. Can anyone tell me which one it is?

OR Is there a way to get Chrome, Firefox or Safari to do this?

It is not clear what kind of results are you asking about. Please elaborate.

It is also not clear whether you require this for Mac or Windows. You have posted this in Mac Freeware forum, but I doubt if you want this for Mac.

Google does it without any add ons ... when your search results appear just click on "Search tools" and you can then narrow the results by time and location etc.

Thank you for the help. I didn't know that about Google. I did finally find the one I was looking for. It was www.spific.com. However, it seems to have gone by the wayside as it now just leads to a blank page. I found it in an old backup file I had of my bookmarks, but it no longer leads to the browser.
