Just added the 150th piece of software on The Best Free Software for Mac OS X list. The list is growing! Ok back to my software searches.

Absolutely. It's taken us a while to get the Mac content moving and we appreciate the dedication you are showing to this task.

Yeah ... seems there was a changing of the guard a couple of years ago ....
And no one here among the Editors owned a Macintosh ... except me.
So I started caring for the Mac Free List.

Since then I've almost DOUBLED the size of the list, and made sure it was plenty entertaining: over 50 games have been placed in the last 2 months alone! (Happy Holidays to all the good girls and boys who got a Mac for a Gift ... There are enough good games and puzzles in there now to keep you busy until you are MY Age! {Don't Ask: even dirt thinks I'm old.})

I admit the list STILL needs a LOT of work to bring it up to my standards. I will continue to remove programs that are no longer working and add new ones as I can. But, once again: it IS a work in progress.

Anyone have a request for a new Mac Free Software category? I might be able to help ... IF you can get my attention!!!

You Mac people: go check out the new stuff! And tell me what you think is missing. I have at least 6 more new game categories to insert yet ... and quite soon this list will have 300 programs!!!! But it won't be ALL about fun and games: you CAN get real work done with a Mac!

As an side, I hope there is not a slowdown in your work because I've been enjoying watching Mac CateGory Gory List replies rapidly catching up with "What does your desktop look like?" You recently passed halfway in only ten months. Clearly MC is still not trying enough distros.

It is impressive because almost every post is from one person. Keep it up.

Well, actually ... that is a hidden 'working thread' where I'm keeping a list of changes across all 10 pages of the Mac Freeware list. It announces WHEN new APPs are added/It has a body count (and list) of APPs I removed ...

(10 Months of posts / 201 entries / over 6 pages long already! You say I only need another 201 posts and 5 more pages to pass some other long running topic? Well ... check back Christmas 2016 and see where I stand, then ... )

I have Asperger's Syndrome and would be hopelessly confused without keeping STRICT Track of my path ... and I'd rather not have to refer to the revisions list to check and see IF an APP I'm thinking of Adding is one that I've just recently killed off!

These nice folks can't follow that link ... and 'enjoy' my mad muttering monologue ... like you can.

I've got a large collection of pretty decent cross-platform APPs saved up and intend to post them as "Best for Mac OS" as time permits ... but everyone here SHOULD benefit!

Ooops! One more for the GORY body Count: Yahoo! Messenger stand alone IM client is GONE (and now, so is its listing.)! We just lost one ...

283 Apps Total ... and, unless I've mis-counted, 95 of those are GAMES! I've pumped that GAMES Page up to over 1/3 of all of the Posted Mac Apps!

Would someone recount - and confirm - 95 Games for me? I have more games waiting in the wings and should wind up with just over 100 games posted soon ....

THEN I can go on to fix up - and Then "Pump Up" - the remaining pages in the "Best of Mac" section. I'll concentrate on removing the rest of the dead Apps first, and Then I'll go on to Add new Items.
