K9 is an email filtering application that works in conjunction with your regular POP3 email program and is one of the excellent free Bayesian spam filters available. Similar to SpamBayes, it is simple to install.
It automatically classifies incoming emails as spam or non-spam without the need to maintain rules or constantly download updates.
However, like all statistical filters, it needs to go through a training phase and recognize what you consider to be spam before reaching full effectiveness.
K9 was reviewed by Gizmos Freeware on based on version 1.2.8.
