Thanks for that, hope the Vivaldi team one day will change their mind about having extensions. I'm still a happy Vivaldi user on Windows PC.

These screenshots were taken from Brave Browser & Kiwi Browser with uBlock Kiwi browser with uBlock extension ![]() Brave browser with adblock ![]() I use Blokada on Android to remove ads from Apps. It works great, supports Adguard DNS and is by default on Enegerzied Blu adblock filters. It's open source & very customizable too. Their new UI on new version 4 is really cool.

I use Kiwi on my Android tablet, as well as others, but on my phone I prefer Brave. I don't use the phone for browsing the internet too much and only have a few sites that I use for reference bookmarked. The ad blocker on Brave works ok but I also block scripts, which I know breaks some sites so if I feel the need to let them run you can do that easily via the Sheilds button. It gives you more control. I don't mind the white spaces either, it's generally stuff I don't need to see anyway but if I do, again, I let scripts run via the drop down menu.
Vivaldi for Android lets you block scripts but it's not as easy to change the settings on the fly, also, I find the ad blocker in Vivaldi to be not as effective as the one in Brave, although that may change in the future. But from what I've read, Vivaldi are not so keen on blocking ads too much which is possibly a marketing thing, revenue etc. So Vivaldi is not a browser I'd use on my phone, but on my tablet, yes, although not my preferred choice. Yandex on Android is very good, although it won't allow you to install uBlock Origin, it will allow you to install Nano which is basically the same thing as far as I can tell. So on a phone it's fine. But it is heavier on the battery, and that's important because not only do I not like paying phone companies for huge data plans, I also require my phone battery to last as long as possible during the day. Brave is easier on my phone battery and also on data usage. These things are important, to me at least. I've used Blockada in the past and found it to be good but again, I don't want too many apps running on my phone - battery usage. I limit as much as I can from running in the background. If an app comes with ads, I don't install it. I never see ads on my phone, nor my tablet for that matter. I think there are always decent alternative apps to the ad infested ones if you search around but it depends what we each want. I may check out Blockada again though, on my tablet, on your recommendation. |
