iPad Air Videos

I have a ton of videos on my server some are .avi and some are .iso What I want to do is get a few movies over on to my iPod so when I go on a trip I can watch them.

Any suggestions? I am rather new to the Mac way of doing things.

Add the songs to your iTunes Library (Allow the files to be copied to your Library)
Then make a Playlist
Then Sync the iPod and transfer that Playlist. The songs should copy over from your iTunes Library to your iPod ...
