For whatever reason, Dropbox won't install on recent editions of Zorin and KDE Neon.
It downloads and then just after it gets to 98% install... it stops... then disappears. It is apparently installed but even after reboot - it fails to open. Since then, have tried the recent LinuxMint Cinnamon and XFCE along with Q4OS and have no problems getting Dropbox to fully install and work. Go figure!

Possible solution here. Remember to substitute the version details you are using if running the code fix.

MC - need your coaching on this one.
Just installed latest KDE Neon, downloaded the Ubuntu file from Dropbox and ... after doing that first line in the terminal i get: dpkg: error: cannot access archive 'dropbox_2015.10.28_amd64.deb': No such file or directory |

Finally!
Inspired by a tip from KDE forum: Installed Synaptic, then libatomic1 and then Dropbox via Discover and everything is good now with KDE Neon! ![]() p.s. for some reason, it always previously jammed at 98% of installation process. |

For the record... installing Synaptic, then libatomic1 and then Dropbox (via software) in Zorin works fine now too!
Did however have to go to terminal for libatomic1 : sudo apt-get install libatomic1 Last edited by danielson; 06. Dec 2019 at 10:43 PM. Reason: extra annotation |
