Sorry, but I think I have been living under a rock.

How did Manjaro shoot so high in Distrowatch rankings? What makes it so special compared to Linux Mint which was my favorite.

A few things really.

It brings Arch to the masses in an easy to use format with some updates held back to avoid potential issues (not always successful but the end result is probably more stable than other rolling releases).
Excellent aesthetics especially for the KDE version.
Large active community with assorted community spins.
Excellent modern approach to product marketing (compare the Manjaro site with Mint and you'll see when I mean)

They did a very good job!

Installed latest snapshot on a friends' new refurbished Dell and it is well behaving.
(He didn't want Windows 10).
Had tried Solus first but it couldn't "see" the Wifi.
HP printer was still an issue to install on MX but with the help of a bit of personal experience, finally made it work, yay!

Three cheers to MX!!!

MX19b2.1 is out and it is super fast to boot on my laptop with SSD!

Loaded with XFCE 4.14.1 really made a huge difference in GUI.

No more screen tearing either!

Stearing away from Manjaro (temptation is strong) since i've always had various issues with it.
