Replacement for WinPatrol

Thank you for all the help you have provided to techies and users over the years. I appreciate it.

I am having trouble locating your recommended replacement for WinPatrol, now that the creator sold it and the new owner is not maintaining it. Could you please direct me?

Is it because you want to limit startup apps or more worried about stopping intruding apps?
