It's the pdf of the same file, which you had uploaded. It contains the functional differences too.

SoftMaker FreeOffice has been updated to rev 679. I tried but honestly couldn't find any changelog for it. No mention on their forums either. The most I've found is the same revision for the paid version (which I can't link to) which says:

How did you know it's updated? I visited its site, and cannot find anything which suggests there is a new version of the free office. Did you visit the link from the first post?

SoftMaker is my default office suite which I use almost daily. I was alerted to a new version because the program checks automatically for updates. Just like you, I visited the home link (same as the first post) and there's nothing at all about a new version. I spent quite some time looking around but couldn't find anything. I only know I had rev 675 before, and when I ran the installer I ended up with rev 679.

Oh OK. Well, I have the setup, but have not installed it yet. I started the download to look at the size of the setup. The setup I have is of 58.7 MB, and the size now available on the site is 58.9 MB. Must be only a minor update. I will be downloading the setup later.
It's good to know that they release updates for the free version too.

Welcome to the forum marks555!
![]() Softmaker FreeOffice 2012 does not support .xlsx or .docx. That said, .xlsx is a spreadsheet format and .docx is a word processing format, so I'm confused about what you want to know. Could you explain in more detail what you wish to find out? Perhaps you should also tell us what you are looking for in an office suite so that our more knowledgeable members can recommend one accordingly. |

I'm a registered user of SoftMaker FreeOffice and I just got an email from them informing me about the release of revision 690.
Improvements: - Improved import and export filters - Easy setting of the default font from within the Format/Character box - All AutoShape effects from SoftMaker Office now also in FreeOffice - Bug fixes |
