Hi, Jack. Please don't get me wrong, but yours isn't really the best start for a linguistic matter when you spell her name "Acerdo" instead of Arcedo, because I'm sure you know what "cerdo" means in Spanish, right?

In addition, some other issues in your post (capitals, commas) show a loose writing that I want to believe is just employed here in this forum, but wouldn't be suitable for the high standards we have achieved in our translations.

No, no lo tomo a mal. Antes de contestar así, tuve buen cuidado de consultar mi respuesta con MC y me dijo que no había ningún problema en utilizar exactamente esos términos, sino todo lo contrario.

Es posible que tengas razón en lo del mensaje privado y lamento que hayas sido tú quien lo tomó mal. No pretendía herir sensibilidades y mucho menos la tuya.

Hi everybody. I would like to apologize sincerely to anybody who may have felt upset for my post above in reply to Jack. It wasn't my intention to scold or offend, although probably it would have been better to contact him by PM instead of a public reply.

In my deffence I'll say I would have never posted a message concerning linguistic issues in this forum or anywhere else if it had been a "normal case". The context and the subject should be taken into account here.

In addition, before posting I took good care to consult one of our moderators for the terms of my reply and he approved them word by word. He told me there was no problem in such an answer and that it was perfectly correct and even appropriate.

Once again my apologies. Jack, please, don't be discouraged by my first answer
