New Article Pop-up Notification - Page 2

I have just managed to block the pop-up using uBlock - cashback! ;-)

Click on uBlock icon in the toolbar > enter element picker mode (eyedropper icon) > move crosshairs over pop-up so that it is the only chosen element (it will be a pink coloured overlay) > double click within element > click on Create and the ball should be nestling in the back of the net!!

Torres, thanks for providing the instructions on uBlock. Up to this time, I have never used uBlock, or ABP for that matter. I used to rely on NoScript to block ads. It is only because of this popup that I started using ABP. I will give uBlock a spin to see if it is lighter.

Okay, it tried uBlock Origin and it is much lighter. Just so that there would be no mix-up, I did not use the similarly named addon from Alex Vallet. As you said Torres, it was very easy to use the eyedropper to block the popup.

I do not mind having the new article pop up, if it would give me a new article post. It always gives me the same article that I am reading. Hope the people running Gizmo's can fix this. Also can they try to find their contact page, their website cannot find it. Thanks for the great site. Colin
