A few versions back, Firefox actually did away with the description box for bookmarks. It used to be there earlier. I guess not many people were using it, that's why.

There's a keyword box, but I don't know what that is for. There is a tag box too for adding tags.

Keyword box is handy for assigning a shortcut to a url.

Assign t for techsupportalert.com for example.
Then i type ctrl+l to go directly to url box and immediately type t + enter.
Voilà!
The quickest way for me to go to a webpage.
