This might be a good site for the Finds of the Week section, although it is only applicable to Americans and others who have financial interests in the USA.
As those Americans who live abroad know, you need a proxy to access www.annualcreditreport.com from overseas, and if there is a possibility of error, the people at annualcreditreport.com will probably think you are someone else, which is what happened to me a few years ago. In the past we were limited to one free credit report per year, and it was a major annoyance to have to use a proxy and wait weeks for annualcreditreport.com to snail mail documents, make the corrections and then resubmit them by snail mail and wait for snail mail for the final report. Now, however, CredtKarma.com (https://www.creditkarma.com), provides the information in fast time online. I got my FICA score almost immediately after registering on the secure site. Then I got my credit report which was up to date in terms of my bank account information. According to Forbes Magazine, CreditKarma offers free weekly credit reports. http://www.forbes.com/sites/amitchow...redit-reports/. It is an article that one should read before commenting. Forbes says it is for real with no catches. Norton Safe Web rates the site as OK with a completely clean report SSL Shopper provides SSL information for the site with no discrepancies. Qualsys.com gives the site an A+ rating. There are reviews if CreditKarma.com at http://credit.about.com/od/creditrep...reditkarma.htm. https://www.creditkarma.com |
