Yes, I moved that post here.
First, this is an offer of the professional version, and as said on the page, it's a one year, one user license, and therefore, it does not belong in the same thread as that of the free version. No discussion will be allowed on this offer version. This being an offer, this belonged in Hot Finds forum anyways, which we have for posting about such offers. I also don't know how this site is different from the GOTD site, which is worthless. This thread will be deleted too, after the offer period is over.

Same site owner as dotTech.org. Some of the software listed has links to red rated sites. Seems mostly to be a platform for unknown programs to gain market exposure.

Out of curiosity I went through the motions of "downloading" this free offer but it seems I have to create an account first. At that point, I just backed out. I can understand if the developers of Kingsoft require my information to register their software, but I see no reason why I should give my information to SharewareOnSale.com. Thanks, but no thanks.
Also, it seems the "offer" has ended. |

I don't think it's a one year offer, because Kingsoft will release the next version in the next year for which you'd have to pay license for. There won't be free updates to that version. The current version will run fine even after 1 year.
Also I installed it only now, and got it working :d

I only stated whats given under the Terms and Conditions on the offer page. It clearly states that it's a 1-year 1-user license.
Also, this site too seems to work like GOTD... that is, the software that you download should be installed before that offer period is over, which is of 24 hours. Again, that's written on the offer page.

I think Kingsoft Free used to work like that too. The 1 year license that works here, is just like Avast, but instead of having to re-register again they simply update the program to 2014 version. But it doesn't render 2013 version useless, you could still use it.
I installed it after the offer period was over, and it worked...Tadaa The site also states sometimes they allow the softwares to be installed after offer period is over...Anyway I'll be using the Pro version till the next iteration of Free version is released.
