Smile Adobe Photoshop and CS2 for Free!

You can grab yourself a free, legitimate copy of Photoshop and the rest of the Creative Suite 2, right now, directly from Adobe.

Interesting thanks, although it's probably worth reading the information on it from Softpedia here

"Effective December 13, Adobe disabled the activation server for CS2 products and Acrobat 7 because of a technical glitch. These products were released over 7 years ago and do not run on many modern operating systems. But to ensure that any customers activating those old versions can continue to use their software, we issued a serial number directly to those customers. While this might be interpreted as Adobe giving away software for free, we did it to help our customers."

I'm still slightly confused, is it free (abandonware?)

I like CS6, but this could come in useful for quick tweaks here & there

Adobe says it was all a mistake. No free CS2 (but I think some people still managed to get a free one). A lot of unhappy remarks being aimed at Adobe.

Added later: Some more comments at this link

A nice find, I love this quote:

"You've already put CS2 up on the internet for free, with your magic serial number that will work for anyone," posted Matthilio. "The horses are out of the barn, and you can't put them back, so you're going to shoot them instead?"

We have a horse, from this day forth, she shall be kicknamed Adobe.

Note: Link Still Works...

If it was for the customers, they should have put some kind of restriction over that page by some means. Does not make any sense to put the software for download, and the key, and then say that it's illegal for others to download and use it.

And despite all the chatter about it, it appears the download page, complete with serial keys, is still online and accessible to everyone, not just paying customers.
