Smile Kingsoft Office 2013 is here!

Features

New Interface [Link edited out. Gives 3/39 (now down to 2 ) with VirusTotal as being malicious including two of the leading antivirus products. These may be false positives but we need to err on the side of caution]

https://www.virustotal.com/en/url/a3...is/1371028335/

Quote:
New: Switch freely between two interfaces: the newest and classical ones. Two color schemes are available for 2013 interface: elegant black and water blue.
New: Add line numbers in the margin of your Writer documents.
New: Include 37 new functions in Spreadsheets including statistical and financial ones.
New: Support multiple criteria in filter to quickly locate the needed data.
New: Expand the row and column number in Spreadsheets, supporting altogether 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns
New: Package your PPT files into folders or compressed files.
New: Display embedded fonts, even without the installation of TrueType font on your computer.
New: Select a cell with a hyperlink in it by clicking the blank space of the cell.
New: Support the ability to replace font face
Since both the download links points to CNET, download Kingsoft Office Free from here

You could choose 3 different styles for the interface, and now it's got a more modern touch. Documents looks more or so like PDF style, or Word 2013? Also I noticed the change in logo.

Strangely, the Standard version still hasn't been updated. It's kept that same version with no minor revisions for many months now. I wonder if I should bother keeping the giveaway.

What STandard version are you talking about?

The Free Office Suite now released is Kingsoft Free Office 2013 (9.1.0.4056 )

No need to download Kingsoft Office from FileHippo. It can be found here:

Link not approved. See comment in first post.

The download is not bundled with CNET crap.

They had quite a few giveaways last year. I may switch back to Free sooner than expected.

I have King Soft on my computer.. But I use symphony... 2 reasons
1. Tabs like King Soft
2. On the spread sheet when you input a number like 8.25 Kingsoft makes it 8.3 to fit in the space..No big deal you say..but it also prints it that way not good if you use for a time sheet like I do...
Symphony doesn't do this...
But thank you for the update...I did download the update hoping it was fixed but it wasn't.

MS Excel works that way too. When your cell has a very small width and cannot accomodate 3 digits, it rounds upto the best 2 digits closest to it.

For instance 8.25 becomes 8.3 (which is the ideal way to display), which is better than showing as 8.2 (as shown in Symphony you say?)

But if the cell size is large enough to accomodate 3 digits, it shows as 8.25 itself for me, both in MS Excel and Kingsoft.

Feeling like I've been living under a ROCK for not checking this suite out sooner. Libre Office still fits the "Pro" bill to me for including a relational database functionality, but choices are a wonderful thing to have!

I just saw that the latest version of Kingsoft allows you to save the documents in .DOCX format. This makes Kingsoft as the first ever free office suite to support saving in .DOCX format I believe... Although I'm not sure about .PPTX and .XLSX

I believe LibreOffice already had that feature before Kingsoft Office Free.
