Yes , if I had not cleaned up the icons, people would have faced difficulties walking around in the "screen" .

Tell me if i'm hijacking this thread, but i'm just wondering if people change their desktops often? Mine is exactly the same as it was on day one (i got this new machine in the first week of this year) because i like the familiarity.

Everyone says my destop looks like a bunch of dirt and rocks. When I tell them its an actual picture of Mars. They say it still looks like a picture of dirt and rocks.

Personally i believe you that it's a picture of Mars. Just don't tell me you took it yourself!

Final choice for Ubuntu 10.10 after messing around with various themes. What you see here is a customized Dust theme, Tronix cursor, GKRellm with ShinyMetal2 skin and the minimal version for the Compact Black skin for VLC. The launch icons on used on the left are from an old Windows RocketDock collection
