Have you ever been frustrated because you remember doing something on your PC a couple of hours ago but you can't remember the precise details of what you did? Or because you saw something in passing on a web page and now you can't find the original site you looked at? Or maybe you suspect that someone is using your computer without your permission, and you'd like to know what they're doing?
If so, check out a really neat program called Automatic Screenshotter. As the name implies, it will automatically take a screen shot of your display and save it to a location on your disk. You can program the time interval from 5 seconds upwards, and also configure lots of rules to ensure that you don't end up with too many images, or images that contain confidential data.
This really handy tool is completely free and the 4 MB download is at http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/AutomaticScreenshotter/inde.... The site is rated as reputable by Web of Trust.
Although the installer does trigger 1 of VirusTotal's 60 scanning engines, all of the major vendors' scanners regard it as being safe. I am therefore happy that the single trigger is a false alarm and the program poses no problem.
