DaVinci Resolver video editorDaVinci Resolve is a video editor for Windows which is hugely powerful, and designed for use by professional film studios. It runs on a standard PC, so long as you have a modern graphics card and the necessary drivers for it. You'll find the download at https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/ but be aware that the file is 640 MB, so it might take a while to download. The file is malware-free according to VirusTotal, and the download site is rated as reputable by Web of Trust.

The program costs a very reasonable $300 for a version that includes collaboration and teamwork features for professional studio work. If you don't need those features, then you're in luck, as you can get it totally free! Once installed, there's a tour and a tutorial, which are well worth watching in order to understand how the program works.

It also runs on Linux!

"....you can even build your own workstation using low cost motherboards, extremely fast processors, massive amounts of RAM and up to 8 GPUs. Imagine building your own super computer for incredible real time performance!" Yeah, I can dream. Me, I just use OpenShot on my 6 year old eMachines running Ubuntu MATE.

Same as with many of the articles Rob posts, this software already has a detailed review, plus forum comments, in TechSupportAlert.com. Just go to the "Best Free Video Editing Program" page: https://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-video-editing-program.htm. Then click on the DaVinci item.
That page also lists alternative programs which are much easier to use, and don't require massive computing power like DaVinci.
