I forced the update before it became generally available. It has been the least disruptive update I can remember post-Windows 7. I only had to log-into my web accounts.
I lost no data files.
I am wary of relying on OneDrive (or any cloud service) to ensure the integrity of my files so I keep an additional local copy of my files. I synchronize the files about once a day. Like Dedoimedo, I don't use the default Windows file folders which might be why I have had no issue.
