Originally developed by Nik Software, Snapseed, has since been acquired by both Google in 2012 and later in 2017, by DxO. Between them, they have further enhanced the app’s capabilities for photo retouching and editing.
With 29 tools and filters this app can really transform an average photo to a great looking image with ease. The software can work with both JPG and RAW files and has the usual set of tools that you would expect and need. For example, Crop, Rotate, Text and Tune Image.
Snapseed excels in offering the user an array of other tools, such as Grainy Film, Vintage and Grunge etc which makes for endless possibilities to your final image. Once you are happy with your image, export can be used to share, save or copy.
There are also excellent online tutorials that can be accessed via the app.
