Where's thejigsawpuzzles.com? Love this site, no downloading of anything, just play on site. Have been using this site for years now and was concerned about the phaseout of Adobe Flash, but they said they are ready for the change over. You can choose how many pieces you want to do in any of the hundreds of puzzles there. Also choose the type of puzzle pieces you want to work with...classic, etc.. You can Full Screen, if needed, any puzzle to work on it. My 92-yr-old Mom had been doing a puzzle every day for yrs before she passed. Cannot say about doing any on a mobile phone though.
Can say the people there are great...any problem just email and they get back to you within 24 hours, if not sooner. BTW, you do not have to sign in or even have an account to do any puzzle, though the site will keep track of all the puzzles you do if you sign in...unlike Jigzone and a few others where you have to try to remember which ones you've done in the past.
Through this "flag stuff", is it possible to make other chrome-based browsers show the GOOD OLD FULL STATUS BAR as seen in the traditionally interfaced ones, like the good old Opera?
I tried and it didnt work. the search opens, but then suddenly closes shortly after. Not only that, when I click on SearchUI.exe I get a message saying "The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application." any help?

Thanks for this Rhiannon - it's a great find. Wile the site is good for generating background noise that distracts from or masks ambient sounds, it is also a really useful way to create background soundtracks for video and sound collages.
@rhiannon, you always get a 5 from me as you bring new and interesting stuff for us But your wallpapers are often better that the offering; this one looks like cosmic boobs but you abstract is great! :))
BkAngel's opinion is interesting... but provably false. Not only is FastCopy much faster than Win10 in actual tests (see Raymond.CC's blog), virtually every alternative copier is faster than Win10 in all instances (also, than Win XP, 7, and 8).
I'm on a Lenovo desktop, with the latest Chrome build, After several tries of the flags entry, it finally showed a huge list (over 80 entries) of available Experiments. So I searched the list and found the Context Menu entry, enabled it (options were default, enabled, or disabled), and closed and reopened my browser. But the full URLs are still not showing. Will continue to try. Temped to click on "reset all" but many show enabled or default, and I'm not sure of the consequences of a reset.
I just tested this using portable Chrome I downloaded a few minutes ago. It's version Version 83.0.4103.106 (Official Build) (32-bit) downloaded from Portable Apps, not the 64 bit version. I did try this in an older version of portable Chrome and it didn't work. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's interesting, I'm running Firefox 77.0.1 as well and geo.location appears, as do the others you listed. I've updated the article, I added geo.enabled as an option. Thanks for the heads up. :)
rhiannon, I don't have a "geo.location" setting in about:config in Firefox 77.0.1
What I did do is set "geo.enabled" to false and "geo.provider.ms-windows-location" to false.

Are you using the classic version of Waterfox? If I understand correctly, the newer versions of Waterfox and Firefox handle memory differently than older versions. Older version handle memory as a single process, newer versions handle memory as multiprocesses.
There are some about:config tweaks that will increase the amount of resources allocated to older versions of Waterfox or Firefox. Be aware that changing some of them like the process count can put more of a load on your processor, others such as increasing the cache are usually fine. Look up Firefox 'increase Firefox memory about config' in your preferred search engine. Most of the config changes should work in Waterfox.
rhiannon, I think you might be able to help with Waterfox. I started using it and loved it far bettter than Firefox. However a problem arose and I figured out what was causing it and contacted the developer who became kind of snotty and refused to fix the problem.
The problem arises in how WF handles memory. FF, if you recall, opens a new block of memory if too many tabs are opened. In my work I generally have 80 or more tabs open at once, and FF has them sectioned off in 8 or 10 separate blocks of memory. WF however, tries to keep them all in one block of memory which slows the computer down severely. A second problem arises as I save the files to disk. It doesn't release the memory, so even if there is only one tab left open, that same huge block of memory sits there intact, slowiing my machine down to a crawl. It takes existing WF to release that memory.
I tried explaining that to the WF developer and all he said to me was, he designed it to be a "single process operation". I asked him what that meant, but he never answered me. I will keep checking and when he does an upgrade on WF, I'll try it again to see if it still has the same problem.

I don't know what to tell you about reverse look up of the address. In a browser it resolves to an invalid URL. If used as directed it resolves and issue with Windows Media Player.
The URL akamaitechnologies.com returns a server IP address could not be found message. If there's something in the information or the article that makes you uncomfortable or you feel is dangerous, don't use the information. In any case, Akamai underlies a good percentage (15% to 30%) of all web traffic.
