After this tweak, the date in MS Money suddenly changed to "15 04 2020". That is, no character between the digits. Yet the taskbar shows "Wed 15/04/2020."
I prefer having those intervening characters, so I've changed it back.
I played around with this a bit and saw the same issues as in the previous comments. easy enough to hit the reset in the control panel window.
When I changed the date to "ddd/M/d/yyyy" however, I have the day of the week in the taskbar and do not see anything else being upset by this. So far, at least.
It's really nice to have the day of the week down there. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you for that, I didn't think to try it with a separator after the day because that is not something I would normally use but it does fix the absence of separators in the other programs and utilities so I'll live with it.
UPDATE: I've played around a bit more and found that if you use a period followed by a space as the separator after the short day you get Thu. 16/4/20 on the Taskbar and in Settings and Control Panel and Thu. 16.4.20 in Event Viewer, Task Scheduler etc., which I find less jarring.

Nowadays, most web browsers always warn users about dangerous websites by giving a notification, e.g., Not Safe, Dangerous Warning, Your Connection Is Not Private ... so on. These methods help users to know which websites are safe from visiting. But sometimes for testing purposes, you might want to turn off these warnings. Let's take a look at this guide!
Used Jing screen capture tool for years. Beginning of 2020 the program mentioned it was retiring because Adobe Flash support was ending. Downloaded the TechSmith Capture program which also uses Screencast to upload and share images/videos. https://www.techsmith.com/jing-tool.html
This is the only free screen capture tool I could find that allows business/commercial use. It comes in Windows and Mac versions so everyone on our team can use it.
This looks like a GREAT app. You can easily multiboot any ISO, just copy them to a flash drive. The install looked much easier than easy2boot (which I never could get to work). Unfortunately it needs Linux kernel 5.4 to read the exFAT format where you put the ISOs. Sigh. So I guess I have to download the new Ubuntu just to do that!
Hey, this is good to read, but I have created a post about how to stop chrome notification in the mobile system and application. This might be advance details for everyone who needs to know about it. I assure you it will be worth reaching out to our blog

The website states "Uploaded images are stored securely and deleted as soon as processing has completed. They are not used or shared in any way". Can anyone find the Privacy Policy which people can read prior to uploading their photos ?
It’s all pretty standard stuff and in reality also pretty meaningless since anyone feeling aggrieved by a perceived breach of their privacy would have to spend more than most folks earn in a year just to launch an action. It’s all made worse by companies who may operate from one jurisdiction but be registered somewhere else with their servers in a third location. Suffice to say anything you post or upload to the net can and most likely will be used by some third party if they can see a way to make money out of it.
I take it as a given that my personal information is income to someone, somewhere. I'd guess personal information is more readily accessible and used for profit if you use a smartphone with apps.
A site like this, where you upload images but there's no personal information or account creation needed to use their service probably collects minimal data. Likely they collect the same data almost every site collects when you visit; IP address, browser type and version, operating system, etc.
For the record I uploaded a photo (of a flower). The result was similar to the original, so not much improvement occurred. This finding was similar to Rhiannon's included in the review above - both photos look very similar !

It never ceases to amaze me what unkind, ungrateful jerks people can be. They seem to read the articles here, and then just complain, because they like hearing the sound of their own typing. Personally, I found Goodreads very overwhelming, and intrusive. If I remember right, it was also hard to extricate myself from even just the free account. Some people like it, I found it dull. I still read a lot, just not books. I'm sure that my "distaste" for reading has something to do with a mom who read constantly, and an older sister who can't get her nose out of a book, to save her life. Not even when driving. She has one open on the bottom of the steering wheel, and reads while moving. Not just at lights. She only occasionally looks up to check the traffic. Reading is definitely a good thing. Reading like THAT is an addiction, and causes a lot more harm (to her, and probably eventually to others), than good. She has a Goodreads accounts, btw. If anyone reading this wonders, Yes, I love my sister, and my mother very much. We are just very different. Stay safe, and stay well, everyone. d

It's why I do my best to present as many good options as I can find. Thank you for your very kind words. I don't care for Goodreads but that's me. It's a good program and I've used it, though for this particular issue it's more than is needed. Booting into Safe Mode to run the program and going through all the options and then running repairs takes quite a while. Or it did the last time I ran it - over an hour. Might be my system, I haven't used it on my laptop.
at rhiannon,
I successfully captured some fine print on suspected counterfeit KN95 Chinese mask that I was unable to do before trying the app. After uploading the original images saved from the website, they would no longer open in Windows Photo Viewer. (tried it twice, all 4 images corrupted) No biggie, worked just enough that it helped. Thanks for the Tech Treat.
Rhiannon, thanks for pointing out this resource. Shawn Brink, the Administrator of the Tenforums site is one of the Rock Stars of Windows tech support. I have consulted his tutorials many times. In fact just a few days ago I used one of his tutorials to do a Repair Install with in-place 'upgrade' of my Win10 desktop, and it worked flawlessly. My gratitude to all those like Shawn and yourself for helping us keep our computers running well.
I'm glad it went mostly ok, I'm not sure what's up with the images being corrupted. I uploaded several images from my phone camera and various images that have been on my system for years, uploaded images I grabbed from several different websites, enlarged and downloaded them with no issues. They opened in Photo Viewer and Ifanview. All in all probably 40-50 images.
J'utilise depuis longtemps Nimbus et je trouve qu'il est excellent ; il offre de nombreuses possibilités d'enregistrement de ses captures notamment en défilement, au format PDF.
James Gart's webpage for Wallpaper Master is not responding. I have one on my desktop and one on my laptop, but they have different menus, and I don't know why. Has any developer taken over from James Gart? I've used this program for years. My only complaint is the limit on number of photos that can be in the source file. Otherwise it's great.

Think tweaking.com does this and a lot more. The basic program is freeware.

I completely agree with you about Shawn Brink. :)
I prefer in place upgrades/reinstallion myself unless I'm reformatting a drive too.
My last update for System Explorer was on 10/11/2016 ?
J'utilise depuis longtemps Nimbus et je trouve qu'il est excellent ; il offre de nombreuses possibilités d'enregistrement de ses captures notamment en défilement, au format PDF.
James Gart's webpage for Wallpaper Master is not responding. I have one on my desktop and one on my laptop, but they have different menus, and I don't know why. Has any developer taken over from James Gart? I've used this program for years. My only complaint is the limit on number of photos that can be in the source file. Otherwise it's great.
I've used http://revertservice.com/10/ to look up individual service default startup settings. These links from Shawn look good for when multiple services need to be reset. Thanks for sharing!
