6. Save the Date
Developer: Chris Cornell
It’s a perfectly normal evening, and you have a quiet dinner planned with one of your friends. Save the Date is a game about a lot of things. Friendship. Stories. Hope. Destiny. And above all else, dinner.
The game was made using Ren'Py and is a visual novel, but unlike most visual novels it doesn't have long stretches of simply text over graphics, but has plenty of interactivity, a lot of choices to make, and hence giving you many different possible endings. You get the full experience of the game by continous playthroughs, and each one provides you literally with various pieces of an interesting puzzle set. You might fail a lot, trying to get the best possible ending, but each playthrough is weird and funny.

5. No More Room in Hell
Developer: NMRiH Dev Team
No More Room in Hell is a co-operative realistic first person survival horror modification for the Source Engine. The game is set during a time in which the world is on the verge of collapsing into chaos from a disease in which its origins are unknown. Whoever perishes from the disease gets up and kills, and the people they killed get up and kill.
The game is to be played in co-operative mode with upto 8 players (single-player is too challenging). The maps are dynamic-no playthrough is the same. Two game-modes are available currently - Survival mode and Objective mode. The best part of the game comes when you are infected. Unlike other games, when you get bitten by a zombie, you have the chance of becoming infected and then you only have a certain amount of time before you die and come back as a faster, stronger zombie than the rest. You can use this time to tell your friends to get ready… or you can keep quiet and hope to find a cure…
The game went standalone last year and needs to be downloaded through Steam (game distribution platform from Valve). No More Room in Hell was adjudged as the Best Multiplayer Mod of 2011 at ModDB [23].

3. Lumen
Developer: Thousand Cranes Studio
Lumen is a platform-puzzle video game where the player assumes control of a girl trapped in a world of nightmare as she tries to make her escape. With the sole help of her camera, she will have to dodge traps, run away from her enemies and use her photographs to change the world that surrounds her.
The game was developed by a team of students at Thousand Cranes Studio for their Masters Degree project. The graphics are amazing and gameplay is really innovative. The little girl who is given a camera uses it to move through her environment. You use this camera to alter the levels. From using the flash to show “hidden” objects, to developing photos and moving the shots around or shaking them to move obstacles.
This little gorgeous game is painfully short, look more like a tech-demo, but is worth the time you play. After all, it's a students project, looks extremely gorgeous with interesting game mechanics and exceptionally well done.
