Access All Google Services From A Button on Your Browser [1]
This browser add-on for Firefox, Chrome, and Opera provides almost instant access to all Google services.
Black Menu for Google gives you quick access to your favorite Google services with a convenient drop-down menu that lets you use Search, Google+, Translate, and many others without leaving the page you’re on.
Black Menu installs as a button on the toolbar of your browser. Clicking the button produces a drop down menu, letting you search, read Gmail, use Maps, check your Calendar, view what's on Google Drive and most other Google services right from the menu. Some services like Google Photos will open in a new browser tab.
The most used Google services are listed on the default menu: Search, Translate, Maps, YouTube, News, Gmail, Drive, Keep, and Calendar. Other Google services are accessed using Customize. Drag services to the right or click them to add them to the menu. Remove a service by clicking and dragging it to the left. If you add a service and it isn't visible on the menu, scroll down. Services are added to the bottom of the list. You can re-order them by clicking and dragging them up or down.
You can change the theme, enable or disable desktop notifications, and reset all settings to default for any service listed through Settings. You can revoke all permissions, remove the cache and view the privacy policy through the Data & Privacy section of Settings.
Black Menu will ask for permission for certain services so they will function. Accessing Google Calendar prompted a pop-up box that read "Black Menu for Google wants to access your Google Account. This will allow Black Menu for Google to see, edit, share, and permanently delete all the calendars you can access using Google Calendar".
There's a Google link to the risks involved with granting permission, and it's always a good idea to check the privacy policy of anything that wants permissions on a Google account.
The list of Google services you can access through the toolbar button is extensive. Google Account, Bookmarks, AdSense, Alerts, Analytics, Blogger, Books, Cloud Print, Chat, Contacts, Play Store, Docs, Scholar, URL Shortener, Voice, Google Earth are some of the available services.
If you use Google services this add-on is a great tool. It installed with no issues on Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Vivaldi, Waterfox, and Brave browsers.
