With its ease of use and all-in-one design tool, PicPick is one of the best for a portable screen capturer with rich features.
Using hotkeys or with a click from the system tray, the screen capturer allows you to take a full screen, an active window, a window control, a scrolling window, a region or a freehand area. It is your choice to set the default image format and output to PicPick editor, clipboard, image file, printer, email, cloud service or else way.
The editor handles basic editing needs like resize, rotate, add text and counters, draw shapes and apply effects, including frame and watermark, invert and grayscale, blur or sharpen, color balance, etc.
In addition, the software includes a color picker, screen ruler, magnifier, protractor, crosshair and a whiteboard.
Even though it is my favorite capturer, I do wish the image editor had a bit of flexibility with its interface. The toolbar is locked up top and can’t be moved to the right or left side of the screen, otherwise it would have been more intuitive and flexible when you’re editing images.
In the end though, PicPick goes above a screen capture utility with the largest selection of tools for the needs of most average users. Having tools that do a good enough job in their respective tasks, this software deserves our editor’s choice.
