The friend helping us here is a plugin called “Rank Math SEO“. It creates the right Search Engine parts to the article page based on the information that you give it.
The plugin puts a block on the Post Edit Page underneath the content that you can use to enter all that information:
Focus Keyword
The “Focus Keyword” is most important. Thumb rule is to enter the title of your post here.
Once you have entered one, the colored rating will change. Don’t worry if it does not go to a 100. If it is yellow or green you are ok.
You can play around with the other values if you know what you are doing. Otherwise, leave it with your focus keyword.
A good thumb rule for the focus keyword is to make it match the title and the permalink and to appear in the excerpt (which is taken as the SEO snippet):
A string of several words might even lead to a better result, e.g. “wallpaper of the week”. See below:
