Lightbulb SSD thread

I think there should be a place for ssd here -

SSD's are on the rise and I don't see any article regarding SSD's.

That's probably 'cause there's really not that much to tweak or talk about there.
With all due respect to Gizmo, Tweakhound probably has best words about tweaking SSD's within your specific version of Windows.

AFAIK, trim is already enabled in Windows 7 so there's not that much more to tweak.

TRIM functions also require a compatible chipset SATA/IDE/ATA driver to function, drivers from AMD/nVidia might not allow TRIM, nor the firmware update tool, to 'see' the drive. Stock MS drivers are often the best, perhaps also the fastest.
