Default Installpad

Installpad

OK a Lifehacker Member made this a while back, and I was thinking tat the editors and readers here could gather their favorites and put out our own .zip with the installation built in. It would be a nifty little thing to do.

That looks very interesting. Its like Ninite that came out sometime before... but is different from Ninite that you can choose what to install. Interesting indeed. Seems a better option than Ninite.

The idea isn't really to say, replace ninite, but make a specified installpad download with the Gizmo's top choices.

Question: Would anyone download it if I filled it with some of the candidates from best freeware 2009?

Yes I will definitely be interested.

I did try it but it seemed tedious. It had most of Apple warez which I never use and Gaim's link was not working. Most of all though it kept giving error on d/l of apps. ThreatFire flagged it once and other times it kept saying access was denied or file/folder was being used.

Yeah, it's older, so I'd have to change the XML feeds (luckily you can do this with the gui)
