Yes Taurus, that's why I always try to pass it along to as many users that I can. I still remember the day that I discovered SBIE, I felt lucky that day, I also feel that choosing to use SBIE is the smartest decision related to using the Internet that I ever made.

I remember those days like it was yesterday, here I was looking for something to handle zero day threats, right after I learned that there was something called Zero day threats. In front of me, I found 100 programs all telling me that they were the best and greatest thing against malware but somehow, something about this little, quiet and unknown program called Sandboxie got my full attention, my instincts did the rest.

Take care friend

I've made no changes other than updates so far. Probably will stay like this until new innovation or problem upgrades occur.

Uninstalled MSE. Was running O.K. for awhile then I started to get the "Windows Genuine Validation" message in the MSE GUI. I validated windows and it was accepted then the next day the same thing happened all over again. Finally after about 3 days of this nonsense I unstalled MSE.
Now I am running CIS Premium 5.9 along with Sandboxie and they both seem to be getting along well together, no lags or slowdowns.
Firefox is my browser with KeyScrambler, NoSript, Adblock plus and WOT extensions. Norton DNS and Scunia PSI pretty much completes my setup.

Avg (only coz I got a free license for their internet suite - firewall removed), still considering if I should pop back in Avast.
Win7 firewall
Sandboxie pro
Norton DNS
Scanners - Emsisoft, mbam, hitman pro

after much dillying, dallying and what not, moved over to Windows 7 32 bit, old graphics card working fine along with the rest of the stuff. Current setup:

Windows 7 (running as administrator) and UAC maximum settings along with password prompt, autoruns/auto what nots have been disabled, with sandboxie (when needed), EMET, file hippo update scanner, secunia PSI and comodo firewall, all other user accounts are LUA (standard user). Firefox with better privacy addon, only whitelisted cookies allowed.

Also Emsisoft portable for suspicious files (not really needed.....but they do seem to have a ton of definitions and despite some false positives works good when needed)

Sidenote: Even though I'm running as admin, due to the UAC password prompts, I will have to re-enter my password (as and when needed) to install/uninstall programs, get access to tools like msconfig, regedit etc. This is good and I am continuing this with this setup.

Hi there 1st post in this forum,
I've tried quite a few combos in "real life" and test environments and have to say I havent found anything that can beat Comodo CIS...i'm eagerly awaiting V.6 and even better virtualisation.
Have used various diffrent AV's along side Comodo firewall - Avast,Avira,Eset etc all with various results, at risk of going against a lot of peoples opinion I do not rate Avast at all, this been due to poor test results and real life failure in zero day detection.
If I was to use another AV alongside Comodos firewall it would have to be Unthreat AV (freeware), I've found its detection rate pretty average 65% - 75% but it stands out with its heuristic/behavior blockering capabilities.
On my system I use CIS (CIS needs no talk up...its firewall, AV and sandbox speak for itself) with Webroot Secureanywhere AV, Webroot isn't freeware but with it been so light on the system its exceptional detection rates and super compatibility it makes it worth the price tag IMO.
As second opinion scanners I use Mbam, hitman pro and CCE, Killswitch and Autoruns been invaluable tools.
Be interested in what you think of my setup and i'm always open to new software/ideas.
Sparks
