This is a heads up kind of post. Octobers Windows update KB3088195 has broken running Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Cyberfox and other browsers under Sandboxie. If you get a token error message from SBIE, its because you have installed the update that breaks SBIE. Its possible other updates are also creating issues. Invincea is looking at all the updates and the different Windows systems trying to figure out if thats the case.

For now, the workaround is not to install the mentioned update or to uninstall it if you have already installed it. A fix will be out soon, maybe later today. You can follow up this issue in the link below.

The token issue has been fixed. If you have been having problems running your browser under Sandboxie (after runnning Windows update on or after Oct 13), this beta should fix this problems.

I have not had any issues with Sanboxie 5.08 running alongside Opera 35 , i just downloaded Sanboxie version 5.10 and although in my admin account it works as good as always , when i go to my user account a problem exists.

In my user account when i try to run my web browser sandboxed i immediately get a box that says " launcher.exe is not configured to run under sandboxie " .

I don't have an email client however , i use Gmail but it's not configured in the system , not a default or anything like that .

Any idea how to fix this "launcher" .exe issue ?

Thank you very much

Hi Herb. I wasn't sure that was you yesterday when I saw your post about launcher.exe at the Sandboxie forum. I guess you deleted your other account there. I was going to make a suggestion and just saw you reporting that the issue is fixed. But anyway, if it aint, look in Sandbox settings>Applications>User accounts. Looking in there might give you a clue about what needs to be done. I never used those settings as I always run as Administrator.

Thanks Bo , appreciate it . I actually had to install Opera in both accounts separately instead of just one time as "administrator" and checking the box for "all users" .
