Hi folks , i have been reading and trying to figure this out myself with no luck .
When i download something into the sandbox from my sandboxed web browser i am trying to find a way to scan the download inside the sandbox to see if it's dangerous before i recover it . Is this possible ? It seems you have to recover it and then scan it but isn't that going to be too late or does it take clicking on the download and installing it to get infected ? Thanks |

About the question above, as I understand it, if you download a piece of malware to your hard drive, for you to get infected, you have to execute it. But....know this. If you execute a file, say by mistake, while its inside C>Sandbox, the file will run sandboxed automatically. Another thing, Herb, most real time antiviruses scan files as they are created in your hard drive. So scanning a new download with your real time antivirus after the file has been created and placed in your hard drive, its probably not necessary. If you haven't, you should read this link about Sandboxie and antiviruses. http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?FAQ_Virus Bo |
