Haven't been posting updates here for a while.

Avast had released a new version some days ago. Latest version was released yesterday. They seem to have changed the naming convention a bit.

The latest version is Avast 2015 R2 SP1 .. build number 2015.10.2.2215.

This is a bug fix release mainly.

does the 2015 version, still install chrome browser, as well ?.
- the 2013 version, did that.

Yes, option to install Chrome browser is shown on the installation screen. Can be avoided easily by unchecking the checkboxes.
