Question APK Downloads for Kindle Fire not recognized by google play

Would it be possible, to add links or author sites when recommending android apps? Since I have a Kindle Fire, I am hesitant to d/l apps from other sites. So as a possible alternative, could URLs be included that would direct a user to an actual apk?

Most of the app makers do not provide a direct link to their apk files. They mostly provide a link to the Google Play store, from where the app can be downloaded on to the phone directly. Only a few vendors provide apk files.

So, it would be quite a tedious process to look for apk files for each and every app, with so many apps on the list.
