:D ... well, for you, I will relax myself this time, since you have been a great team member to us. But, just this time, don't make this a habit :p

It's good to see you around Garth :)...

The amount of malware targeting mobile devices has prompted a leading Hollywood director to make a movie about how this will affect users. The title is going to be "i-Pocalypse Now":D

Windows 8: An Inflection Point and A Compromise

Quote:

Those who believe that tablets are the future will find a simpler and purer system in the iPad. And those who believe that the PC is where it's at and always will be might be turned off by what they see as the unnecessary tabletization of Windows... But that's the issue: Traditional PCs might soon be in the minority compared with other computing devices.

The worry, simply, is that Microsoft's quest to create a no-compromises version of Windows that answers all needs might have resulted in something that is very much a compromise.

What will be Windows 9?

Microsoft are working on Windows 9, even though Windows 8 hasn't been released yet.

And what will be Windows 9:
  • 64 Bit Only
  • Legacy Support will be dropped
  • One OS to run them all, PC, tablets, phones...
  • A Unified Interface

When? Expecting 2015.
