Which are the best free video players for Android?
Again, my needs are very simple. Should be able to play all video formats.. avi, mkv, mp4, flv etc. The in-built video player on my phone can play all the above formats, and if there is a subtitle file, it shows subtitle too. Although, surprisingly, it was not able to show subtitles for a video which had subtitles hard coded into it. With above capabilities in the built-in video player, do I need a video player app? What will other video players have to offer, besides the above features? Do I really need one?

mVideoPlayer supports for subtitle. Give it a try.
See also some others listed here. A comparative review is in the progress. |

As you can see, the comparative review is not complete yet. It only describes one product so far. I wanted more information rather than just names of products.. and that's why I created the threads.
Also, I hope the threads will invite discussion on these topics, which will be beneficial for all.

I gave Mx Video Player a try, and now am hooked to it. It's excellent, with some great options, and subtitle support. And with software decoding, it can play all kinds of formats, even ones, which the stock video player could not play. It's just awesome! I don't think I will need to look for another video player, unless something better comes along.
