Default Samsung s-5 galaxy new. questions about security setup

this Samsung s-5 galaxy is my first smartphone, does a person set up any security as you would a home p.c.?

In a nutshell, yes! Essentially, you have bought a mobile PC with a phone attached albeit an Android OS instead of Windows.

It seemed as if one should have security layers, then i located the security app which came installed, i went ahead and set it up, but thats all the security i found on phone.
