SoftMaker Office Mobile for Android now available for free

Received an email from SoftMaker today, informing that SoftMaker Office Mobile for Android is now available for free indefinitely. It used to be commercial before this, but now they have decided to make it available for free, and can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

If someone does try it, please provide feedback as to how good it is.

Yeah, I got it too. My Office needs aren't much in Android. On rare occasions I may have to open a file to read it but that's all. I find it's a real pain to edit any file in Android so I won't be trying it.

My needs aren't much too. But, I do have WPS Office on my phone, and I do need to edit occasionally. On my low end device however, things can be a bit slow while using WPS.

Found that SoftMaker is offering various components of office separately, and I find that quite good. So, size is less, and I think RAM will be used less too. Also noticed that in this Android version, docx files can be saved too. So, this seems like a good option... lightweight, and with all features.

Will download, and use, and see how it goes.

The compatibility of SoftMaker Office Mobile with Microsoft Office formats is excellent. The apps are slim and fast and have a wide scope of features. Can't go wrong to download them for free.
