IPOD 16 gb, 3.1.3 model MA627LL won't open youtube through Safari.

Reports that youtube does not support this browser.

How to change?

Applie iOS programs don't play flash video (FLV) which is used by YouTube. So you can install a program that does, for example, the YouTube application.

Nowadays, any iOS program can play YouTube videos as long as they support HTML5. I don't know how it was supported in first generation iPods, but try the built-in YouTube app. Unfortunately, I don't think the iTunes App Store link will work looking at the requirements.

I suggest you try UC Browser. You can either view or download many of the youtube videos (if permitted) and the neat thing is they've been compressed so they dont take up a lot of storage.

I use it on an ipod 4G and an iphone 3G
