Most of these "tuneup" utilities are not as useful as you might think. The data meter for instance, is already included in Android since the 4.0 version. The RAM boosting and battery saving options continue basically to rely on task killing, which (IMO) does more harm than good as most of the "killed" apps restart automatically after some time, thereby affecting the battery consumption

Both PowerTune-up and AMC have great looks, but their capabilities are not that good when it comes to real-world performance. Besides, both of them run in the background and definitely take a hit on your device's RAM.

Personally, I don't like these kind of apps as they don't do anything that you cannot do on your own. I'd rather tweak my phone using the settings menu to limit the number of background processes, check my data usage, change my screen brightness to save some battery and so on.

It's just an average app. It is very limited and you cannot change any settings but the 'Scan Storage' and the 'Autopilot' options. As it happens with most of the 'free' versions coming from big companies, this app is just a crippled, promotional version for the bigger (paid) app.

There are better, truly free options out there which let you control and change the app's settings with the options you want.

You can read our review with some of the best anti-malware apps for Android here. There is also a great list containing the best free Android apps (which include a lot of apps, including useful system tools) here.

I quite liked the Bitdefender tune up app because you could set 'profiles' so at midnight my phone turned off it's wi-fi ( you could set it to turn off other things like data, gps etc. ) and turn it back on in the morning , but I stopped being lazy and I just 'try' and remember to turn off these things myself but I often forget lol.
Just to add the anti-virus review for Android is very detailed with lot's of info IO.Hazard I like it.
