Default Replacing Swip call answer

Im still messing around with my phone trying to make it more to my taste....

I have decided i no longer like the swipe to answer on my samsung S3 and would prefer a onscreen Answer and Reject button. I know its possible to set up the phone so you press the home button to answer the call and undo button to reject, but i would prefer a nice green button to answer red to reject.

I have been looking at some apps like ultimate call screen HD which expands my contacts pictures to the full screen and adds a nice simple button to answer and reject. But looking at some apps UCS HD only allows 6 contacts in the free version. there was another that allowed all the contacts but placed horrible adds on the screen. and there were others that were all limited in some way.

Has anyone came across a nice simple way to replace the slide answer with a button. Yet once i am in a call let me have access to the other on screen feature my phone has like place on hold speakerphone ect

me too, i hate the swipe answer , i just want a green and red button 'accept call' and 'reject call' not the stupid swipe action, when i first got my phone i missed about 10 calls because i could do the swipe action correctly

I initially had not got the hang of receiving a call, because when I got the phone, I had never used a touchscreen mobile before. After its use, I like the swipe, because it prevents accidental receiving of phone IMO.

However, the thing that I don't like is that there is no silent button when you receive a call. In the earlier Nokia phones, when a call was received and it was ringing, there was an option shown to silence the ringtone. Useful in cases, where you don't want to receive the call, and also don't want the person to know you saw it, because if you reject it, they will know you saw it.
Haven't seen that option with Android. Only thing you can do is to reject it, or select the sound off option manually from before.

You turn the phone face down and that should silence it. I think it's the rotational effect as if the phone is face down to begin with it still rings, but can be silenced by turning it face down again.

If your phone doesn't support that feature by default, try this app Flip Silent https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...menue.playring

Thanks, I see that similar other apps are there in the store. I haven't tried the suggestion yet, so I will experiment and then post back.

You might want to check this out; Quick Launch:

or

While it's not necessarily an answer to your swipe issue, it does offer some decent functionality. It has one touch silent or no ring. If I remember correctly, it eliminates most of the need for swiping to answer a call.

Plus, it has many other options available to it.

Please note that it takes up a fair amount of RAM. I had it on my Droid X2 for a couple days, but my phone seemed slower in general so I took it off. Most newer phones, however, should probably be able to handle it.

All in all I really liked the program. It's just that my phone is somewhat older and I already have way too much installed on it.
