Default Llama app

Ive started to configure the Llama app for android and id like to know what kind of things other people use the Llama app to manage.

for instance i have set it up to turn on screen rotation with certain apps like you tube, gallery and video file ect.

also to check my emails every hour, turning the wifi on for 3 mins then turning it off again, when leaving home to turn on car mode and turn it off when i reach certain locations.

Would be interested to know what other people use the app for.

A good tool to automate the things you need to do. I've basically used it to save battery power as written here: Make Your Smartphone Even Smarter

thanks iv have seen the post, just wondering about different setups that people use the app for.

For example, i have configured it to:

Condition
-Wifi Connected
Action
-Mobile Data Off

This makes sure im not using mobile data when there is a wifi connection available

Condition
-Battery level below 10%
Action
- play a sound

So i know when the battery needs charging

Same again above but when the battery is at 100% to play a sound so i know when to unplug it from the charger.

Condition
-When the current app is Quickpic
Action
-Enable screen rotation

Iv set it on a few media apps like MX player and youtube app

Condition
- When the current app is not Quickpic
Action
- Disable screen rotation

So when this app and other when are no longer active turn off the screen rotation.

Condition
-Headphone Connected
Action
-Open media player

Quicker access to music when headphones connected

Condition
-Headphones disconnected
Action
-Music player stops

Just in case my headphones accidentally unplug. Useful if listening to music at work

I found someone else configuration Using

Advanced:
1. Delay Event
2. Delay Minutes : 1 minutes
3. Cancel Delay if False
4. Repeating Event
5. Repeat Every 10 Minutes

Conditions:
1. Screen Off

Action:
1. Queue Another Event (enter these details for the Queue Event):
-->Event Name: Data On
--> Queue Delay: 9 Minutes
--> Actions: Toggle Mobile Data On
2. Toggle Mobile Data Off

This will turn off mobile data once screen is off (1 minute delay). It will then toggle mobile data on every 10 minutes so it can poll any email and other sync updates (will remain on for 1 minute).

Im changing it on my phone for wifi to connect to wifi every hour..
but im not to sure if its the best setup for apps like whatsapp to use

Talking

i seem to be the only person posting here... Oh well Maybe these settings will help other people out. heres some more

>This turns speakerphone on when im driving and i get a call

Condition
-when leaving a area
-call state, in call

Action
- car mode
-speakerphone on

--------------------------------------------------

>to Keep as much battery power remaining when critically low

Condition
-when battery goes below 5%

Action
-Toggle Wifi Off
-Toggle mobile data off
-Toggle Bluetooth off
-Toggle GPS off
-Media Player Stop
-Change brightness 5%
-Disable Screen rotation
-Change screen timeout 2seconds

------------------------------------------------------------

And This is a long one! its a single event to Sync Accounts (email ect)
----delay event 1hour
----repeat every 1hour
Condition
-Screen off
-time between 9am and 6pm
-Wifi disconnected

Action
-Toggle Wifi on 3mins
-Toggle account sync on (enables updates for email ect)

Queue another event
---Queue delay 5mins
Conditions
-Wifi conected

Actions
-Toggle Wifi off
-Toggle Account Sync Off
(This one above ^ Stops the account sync if it runs longer the the 3mins and will turn off the auto sync after 5mins)
But just to make sure that the auto sync turns off after the 3 mins update i made another queued event

Queue another event
condition
-Any Wifi disconnects

Action
-Toggle Account sync off

>With this one when my screen turns off and is between 9am and 6pm it will wait a hour then turn on the wifi. when connected to a wifi it will update my email accounts and anything else. It should only last for 3 mins, then disconnect, if it doesnt disconnect the other cued event that is delayed for 5mins means that it will see the wifi is turned on then toggle the wifi off. then the final queued event will see the wifi if turned off and turn off the auto sync. Otherwise it will turn off the wifi but leave auto sync on.

------------------------------------------------------

And finally

>Turn off the wifi when phone is disconnected from a wifi point. Just in case i put it in my pocket and leave the wifi area forgetting to turn the wifi off

Delay event 3mins
Condition
-When phone disconnects from wifi

Action
-Toggle Wifi off

Repeat every 10 mins

--------------------------------------------------------------

If i make any more il post them up. they may be of use to someone.
Would like to know what other people have done with theres to share ideas, but cant make people post
