Solus is only back in name - totally diff project and totally different reason for it becoming a full fledged distro - when it finally leaves Beta.

Worth a read of both the site and the Google+ pages to get the full picture.

I just wonder if there is room now for a Budgie desktop in with all the rest.

This project for instance seems to have been going since the year dot and we still haven't got anything better than an experimental release.
