This is what Ubuntu 11.10 looks like in classic mode I replaced that horrible menu sidebar that gnome 3 uses. As Jojoyee said, there is no way to place the menu bar at the bottom. Happily I'm Back to my familiar Docky which I can live with

For informational purposes if you what to tweak your Ubuntu 11.10 system you will need to download and install various apps that did not come with 11.10.

Even after reading Dedoimedo's review of 11.10, I'm still scratching my head on why he found it so great
