This is just my opinion but with so many distros offering desktop choices, I would rather install a dedicated MATE, Cinnamon or whatever, rather than add another desktop to what I already have.

IMO Corenominal is wrong when he says Debian is already a good #! replacement. The OOTB experience is what #! was all about. Debian doesn't have this.

"... As you all know, several of us have been investigating and working on a community edition of Crunchbang Linux. After a lengthy discussion, the name for this project was settled to be Bunsen Labs Linux, or just Bunsen Labs for short or Bunsen for the true minimalists ...":

Some questions:

1. I couldn't find out whether Bunsen is continuing with OpenBox. Is it just assumed that this will happen?

2. I've been looking at OpenBox screenshots and a lot of them look more like Windows screenshots than any others that I have seen. They look more like Windows than ChaletOS which I have just installed. Have I got the right impression or is it because OpenBox is heavily menu-based or is it just coincidence that the sample of screenshots look more like Windows?
