Default FerenOS anyone?

Total OS does a nice review of FerenOS on Youtube:

Apparently (from comments on the video) it is a young lad who is behind it.

Just getting into it, but so far so good!

Installation process is a bit longer than most tried but it is well worth the time.

Has Vivaldi as default browser pre-installed (Firefox is now 2nd place).

The conclusion here sums it up pretty well which is why I commented 'a pointless mix of code'. Apart from appreciating a school age student is able to cobble together a distro this has absolutely nothing going for it, including a future once he has to get a job and start working.

Compared to many other "one-man-band" distros... this youngster sure is making some good moves!

Although this new theme is a work in progress, i just find it super nice!

There is no GTK2 theme, yet (it’ll be coming soon)
The GTK3 theme may have a few visual bugs I have missed
The Plasma Style, Cinnamon Theme, and Window Decorations (Feren OS Classic) have not yet been updated
The Global Themes in Feren OS set the Application Style to “Feren”, however since Feren has not yet been created it’ll fall back to Breeze
The Window Decorations (Feren OS) has not been updated yet to use the tweaked symbols that this redesigned GTK theme uses for the titlebar butt

Seriously?

As I said. Not taking anything away from the achievement but considering you can make pretty much any distro look like this in a couple of minutes without needing to install a repository what on earth is the point considering half of it either doesn't work or is not yet complete?

For a much better example of what can be achieved, check this out instead.

In beta now but final release sometime this month.

BigLinux present beta version sure is jammed packed with good features!

Imho, a forum subsection would be not only a huge plus but an essential thing for it to access a larger audience.

For the moment, i'm going back to FerenOS which feels lighter and less beta than B.L.
